Deaf critic movie review of Smurfs: The Lost Village

A hearing perspective:

American film, ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ is a 3D computer-animated adventure comedy film.

It is produced by Sony Pictures, and directed by Kelly Asbury.

It is based on ‘The Smurfs’ comic book series by artist Peyo.

The film is about four best friends Smurfette, Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty who start an interesting journey to find a lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does.

The journey is full of action and danger but Smurfs never give up and discover the biggest secret in Smurf history!

The secret is the beautiful newly-found place that succeeds in bringing male Smurfs and female Smurfs together.

The character of the beautiful Smurfette, the only girl in the Smurf Village wins your heart. The way Smurfette finds her identity and purpose of life with the help of her best friends are really the best parts of the film.

The film gives the message that biggest problems in life can be overcome with unity and teamwork.

The story of the film is engaging, funny and educational and doesn't bore the audience.

The visual effects of the film are simple; the characters are funny and cute, and the voice-overs are lovely.

Verdict: Certainly, a must-watch for all ages, especially for kids.
